Complete Tour Description
No One Gets you in Faster
As we are the Official Vatican Partner with the highest possible partnership status, your tour with us begins by entering the state through our exclusive Partner Entrance. Inside you will experience the many exhibits and rooms of this stunning country at a relaxing pace on our Complete Vatican Tour.
With your guide on hand you’ll explore the Pinacoteca, the rarely visited Vatican Paintings Gallery. This gem is often missed as independent travelers sprint from the entrance to the main attraction, the Sistine Chapel. You can view masterpieces by Raphael, Caravaggio and the only Da Vinci work available to see in Rome while listening to the fascinating stories behind each of the pieces.
No One Gives You more Access
While exploring the Vatican Museums, you have the rare opportunity to leave the tourists behind and slip behind velvet ropes to visit the original helical Bramante Staircase. Usually closed to the public, it was once the entrance from street level to the Papal apartments. It was built to accommodate horse and carriages but we prefer to use it to get the best Instagram shots over the Rome cityscape.
Of course, we’ll also visit the unmissable Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel, where your guide will delve into the background stories about the art (like the punishment Michelangelo envisioned for his enemies). We’ll also see some of the less famous (but no less interesting) sights such as the pagan sculptures in the Gallery of the Candelabra, the incredibly accurate medieval geography in the Gallery of the Maps and the optical illusions in the Gallery of the Tapestries.
No One Gets You in Earlier
With Skip-the-Line Access directly from the Sistine Chapel, you will gain immediate entry to St. Peter’s Basilica where your guide will show you around the world’s largest cathedral. Admire the incredible baroque altar, spot the carving in the belt of Michelangelo’s ‘Pietá’ and discover whether St. Peter really is buried underneath Christianity’s most iconic house of worship.
Within four and a half hours, you’ll experience a comprehensive exploration of the world’s finest art collection and see the treasures of the Vatican as few do.
