Along the way to this medieval town, your guide will tell you all about the town history and its intriguing race traditions such as the “move” which encourages jockeys to hinder their rivals. When you arrive in Siena you will be joined by a local guide for a more in-depth tour through the narrow streets of the old town.
After a brief orientation to the red-bricked city, you’ll visit the magnificent Duomo di Siena which stands out with its white and greenish-black marble facade. This architectural masterpiece is easily accessible due to your Skip-the-Line guided tour and you’ll get to spend more time inside viewing the ornate marble floor, stained glass windows, and sculptures by artists such as Michelangelo.
